Environmental Manager (OCONUS) – Large O&M Contract

About the role

SOS International LLC is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead compliance and sustainability for a $50 million per year O&M and life support services contract in the Middle East. The role ensures all environmental aspects meet host‑nation, U.S. Government and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an ISO 14001‑aligned Environmental Management System.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, U.S. DoD/DoS standards and international best practices.
• Design and implement waste, spill prevention, storm‑water and pollution‑control programs.
• Oversee air, water and soil quality monitoring and prepare regulatory reports.
• Lead environmental risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide training to staff and subcontractors and act as primary contact for regulators and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years managing environmental programs on large O&M or LSS contracts.
• Experience in the Middle East or austere environments is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, analytical and leadership abilities.
