Galley Manager

About the role

The Galley Manager leads all food‑service operations at ISA BOS, overseeing a team of local nationals to deliver three daily meals for over 120 patrons. This position ensures compliance with naval food‑service regulations and maintains uninterrupted meal preparation and service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise 12+ food‑service workers and ensure proper hygiene, sanitation, and safety training.
• Develop and implement a 28‑day menu cycle in accordance with NAVSUP P‑486 and related regulations.
• Manage daily subsistence and consumable supplies, maintaining a 30‑day stock level.
• Utilize the Food Service Management (FSM) system for ordering, equipment accountability, and end‑of‑day reporting.
• Maintain all galley equipment, ensuring serviceability, turn‑in, and appropriate stockage levels.
• Oversee cashier services for Ration‑in‑Kind (RIK) eligible patrons.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising food‑service staff in a high‑volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of NAVSUP regulations, Armed Forces Recipe Service, and naval food‑service standards.
• Ability to plan menus, manage inventory, and ensure nutritional compliance for large patron groups.
• Excellent organizational skills to coordinate logistics and maintain uninterrupted operations.
