General Mechanic – Maintenance & Repairs

About the role

We are seeking a proactive General Mechanic to join our facilities team in Manama. You will be the first point of contact for guest repair requests and responsible for keeping all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets.
• Visually inspect equipment, identify shut‑off valves, and operate utility shut‑offs.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift hand‑over.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, replace bulbs and A/C filters, and manage landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures and follow all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
