Head of Trade Finance

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Trade Finance to lead our trade finance department, ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance and revenue growth. The role involves managing a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients and collaborating across International, Trade and Commercial Banking.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and accurate function of the trade finance department, including management and regulatory reporting, invoicing and follow‑up.
• Originate trade finance transactions and working‑capital solutions for corporate and commercial customers.
• Prepare presentations, pitch solutions, draft term sheets and coordinate with risk and legal to document deals.
• Engage customers in a consultative capacity to structure trade transactions.
• Collaborate with International, Trade and Commercial Banking teams to deliver the value proposition.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers and product partners to foster synergies.
• Manage an assigned client portfolio to achieve revenue targets.
• Prepare call agendas, call reports and ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Own operational issues with middle and back office to ensure proper delivery of trade products.
• Promote risk‑culture awareness by identifying, managing and escalating compliance risks.
• Monitor market changes impacting trade finance.

Required profile

• In‑depth understanding of trade and supply‑chain finance products and a broad range of transaction‑banking products.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in trade sales or product management.
• Proven success in trade sales and business development.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of trade and supply‑chain finance solutions.
