Head of Wealth Management

About the role

A leading GCC financial institution is seeking a senior strategic leader to own its Wealth Management and Placement function. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will shape the Group‑level wealth management strategy and drive the distribution of sophisticated investment solutions to high‑net‑worth individuals and institutional clients across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the Group’s overarching Wealth Management strategy in line with the CEO’s vision.
• Oversee the Placement function to ensure effective marketing and distribution of investment products.
• Provide strategic oversight to four Regional Market Heads covering UAE & Oman, Qatar & Bahrain, Kuwait, and KSA.
• Synthesize cross‑market dynamics into clear recommendations for the CEO and Board.
• Champion innovation and technology adoption within the wealth management proposition.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key HNW clients, institutional partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify new product, market, and growth opportunities.
• Ensure robust governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior/Chief level track record within a top‑tier financial institution.
• Deep expertise in wealth management, private banking, or institutional placement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑market teams, preferably across the GCC.
• Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in fast‑moving, technology‑forward environments.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills for CEO and Board‑level interactions.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
