Implementation / Functional Consultant (Banking Domain)

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Implementation / Functional Consultant with deep banking domain knowledge to bridge business needs and technology solutions. The role involves gathering requirements, creating functional documentation, and supporting customers throughout project delivery and post‑go‑live phases.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements, produce SRS, FRS, use cases and process flows.
• Interpret requirements, provide functional analysis and recommendations.
• Plan and support UAT, negotiate requirements during defect analysis.
• Coordinate with customers, set expectations, and manage stakeholder communication.
• Provide on‑site support, troubleshoot issues, and assist during production incidents and deployments.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in functional consulting, business analysis, or core banking implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work closely with business users, technical teams and project managers.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with microservices and modern application architectures.
• Knowledge of banking interfaces, payment systems and transaction flows.
• Experience with SWIFT, ISO 20022, IFX, Open Banking APIs or similar standards.
