International Business Director

About the role

Al Zain Jewellery is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial International Business Director to lead the next phase of its global expansion. Based in Bahrain and reporting directly to the CEO, the role will shape and execute the commercial strategy for international markets, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth while preserving the Maison’s luxury positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the international commercial and business development strategy across existing and priority markets.
• Identify, negotiate, and onboard new luxury retailers, department stores, distributors, and strategic accounts.
• Build and manage a qualified international business development pipeline and develop market‑entry plans with clear business cases.
• Own international sales, gross margin, sell‑in, sell‑out, and account productivity, setting annual and monthly objectives.
• Monitor performance against budget and forecast, taking corrective actions to balance revenue, profitability, distribution quality, and inventory productivity.
• Lead regular business reviews with strategic partners based on defined KPIs and accountability.
• Develop and maintain senior‑level relationships with key international partners and strategic accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior commercial leadership within luxury retail or related sectors.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of driving international market expansion.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical abilities to assess market potential, investment requirements, and profitability.
