Logistics Planning Assistant / Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Planning Assistant / Specialist to support the end‑to‑end logistics lifecycle on construction projects. The role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring material movement, transportation, and site deliveries to ensure projects stay on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of logistics plans, procedures, schedules, and standards for construction projects.
• Coordinate logistics activities from procurement and supplier dispatch through transportation, site delivery, receiving, storage, distribution, and project close‑out.
• Maintain accurate logistics schedules, delivery trackers, transportation records, material movement logs, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor material requirements, procurement plans, project schedules, construction sequences, and delivery priorities to support timely logistics planning.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, freight providers, transporters, warehouses, and site teams regarding dispatches, delivery dates, quantities, documentation, and receiving requirements.
• Review purchase orders, delivery schedules, packing lists, shipping documents, and material requests for completeness and accuracy.
• Track shipments from supplier dispatch through final site receipt, identifying delays, exceptions, missing documentation, or transportation issues.
• Coordinate transportation requirements, including vehicle availability, delivery windows, route planning, loading and unloading arrangements.

Required profile

• Mid‑level to senior experience in logistics planning, preferably within construction or similar project‑based environments.
• Strong analytical abilities to support operational efficiency throughout the logistics lifecycle.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams such as Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, HSE, and site operations.
