Maintenance Operations Control Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Control Manager to join a leading aviation operator in Bahrain. The role ensures aircraft dispatch reliability by coordinating maintenance activities, managing defects, and overseeing AOG recovery across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee AOG aircraft return to service safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with Planning and Network Operations to optimise maintenance decisions and resolve schedule conflicts.
• Ensure scheduled maintenance aligns with the Approved Maintenance Programme.
• Control timely closure of defects in line with the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and monitor repetitive defects using reliability data.
• Manage onboard fly‑away kits and third‑party service providers at outstations to minimise service interruptions.
• Lead daily Maintenance Operations meetings, track repetitive defects and technical issues.
• Liaise with Type Certificate Holders, OEMs, and material/engineering sections to secure parts, tooling and service requests.
• Support additional projects and tasks as directed by senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Maintenance Operations Control role.
• Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (or equivalent qualification).
• Fluent written and spoken English with strong technical communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience with My Boeing Fleet, General Electric, Stream applications (advantageous).
• Familiarity with Trax Maintenance Systems or similar maintenance software (advantageous).
