Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services while optimizing cost and quality. This role works closely with project teams and suppliers to support project schedules and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and related procurement documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain strong vendor relationships, and resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate management reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.
• Manage procurement budgets and negotiate contracts with significant financial impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor networks, and procurement systems.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving ability and strong time‑management skills.
• Strategic thinking and cost‑conscious mindset.
• Compliance awareness and collaborative approach across departments.
