Production Director - Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Pramac, a Generac company, is looking for an experienced Production Director to lead and optimise manufacturing operations at its Bahrain facility. The role oversees all manufacturing activities across Production, Supply Chain, Planning and Quality, and suits a strong leader with a track record in complex OEM manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all plant operations so that safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are met.
• Oversee the Production, Supply Chain, Production Planning and Quality departments.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, and ensure efficient production planning and resource allocation.
• Optimise inventory levels, material flow and supply chain performance.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of quality and accountability.
• Lead, develop and mentor department managers and operational teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing and Corporate functions, and support industrialisation, process improvement and capacity expansion projects.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies and international quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles, including medium-to-large facilities.
• Proven OEM manufacturing experience and a strong background in Production Management, Supply Chain, Planning and Quality.
• Demonstrated success in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence programmes.
• Fluent English required; preferred: experience in power generation, industrial equipment, machinery, metal fabrication or electromechanical manufacturing, and knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and World Class Manufacturing.
