Restaurant General Manager

About the role

Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain, an ultra-luxury property described as "The Palace of the Secret Garden" with 78 private pool villas, is looking for a Restaurant General Manager. You will lead the overall operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, commercial performance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and maintain service standards aligned with Banyan Tree luxury hospitality expectations
• Create a warm, personalised dining experience, handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, and keep the ambience, presentation and cleanliness consistently high
• Lead, motivate and develop the restaurant team, manage recruitment, onboarding, training and performance, and run regular briefings
• Drive revenue and profitability, monitor sales, guest spend and costs, support menu engineering and promotions, and manage labour costs and budgets
• Work with the Executive Chef and F&B leadership, ensure food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance, and support upselling and suggestive selling
• Maintain supplier relationships, take part in F&B strategy meetings, and ensure compliance with hotel policies, local regulations and responsible alcohol service

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant General Manager in a luxury hotel, resort or high-end restaurant
• Proven experience managing teams and driving operational performance
• Experience in pre-opening environments is an advantage
• Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are beneficial
