Retail Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Retail Project Manager to lead and deliver joinery and interior fit‑out projects for our retail clients. The successful candidate will independently drive projects from kickoff through to handover, ensuring quality, timelines, and stakeholder alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise project kick‑off meetings with internal departments, fit‑out teams and, when needed, general contractors.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, photography and loading‑zone identification, providing detailed feedback to the Setting Out Manager.
• Perform on‑site setting out and marking of joinery equipment as required.
• Address technical queries from clients and contractors throughout the manufacturing and installation phases.
• Maintain the project schedule using MS Projects, generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos, and submit them to senior management.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Facilitate clear communication between fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Observe installations and recommend adjustments to equipment to optimise future fit‑outs.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing or interior fit‑out environments.
• Natural leader with a high sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong stakeholder‑management capabilities and a collaborative team‑player mindset.
• Proven track record of improving project efficiency and output.
