Retail Project Manager

About the role

The Retail Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and hand‑over of custom joinery and interior fit‑out projects for retail environments. Reporting to senior leadership, the role requires independent management of multiple projects from kickoff through to completion, ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead project kick‑off meetings with internal departments, fit‑out teams, and general contractors.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys, and capture critical dimensions and loading zones.
• Oversee on‑site setting‑out and marking of joinery equipment, providing technical guidance as needed.
• Maintain project schedules (preferably using MS Projects) and generate daily/weekly progress reports with photos.
• Coordinate communication between factory personnel, fit‑out crews, and client representatives, escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor installation processes, suggest adjustments to equipment, and ensure smooth hand‑over.
• Prioritise and execute tasks across multiple concurrent projects without constant supervision.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery manufacturing, interiors, or retail installation projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage external stakeholders.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Self‑driven, highly responsible, and capable of making independent decisions.
• Team‑player who can identify strengths and weaknesses and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Projects for schedule management.
