Retail Project Manager

About the role

Havelock One is seeking a Retail Project Manager to lead custom joinery and interior fit‑out projects for retail clients. The role involves overseeing projects from award through design, installation and handover, ensuring timelines, quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead project kick‑off meetings with internal departments, fit‑out teams and general contractors.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and capture critical dimensions, loading zones and photographic records.
• Perform on‑site setting‑out and marking of joinery equipment when required.
• Manage project schedules—preferably using MS Projects—and produce daily/weekly progress reports with photos.
• Coordinate technical queries from clients or contractors throughout the manufacturing and installation phases.
• Maintain continuous communication with fit‑out teams, factory personnel and client representatives, escalating issues as needed.
• Monitor installation progress, identify adjustments to equipment and ensure smooth handover.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years experience in joinery manufacturing or interior fit‑out projects, preferably within the retail sector.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Self‑driven, dependable and able to drive continuous improvement.
