About the role

Yokogawa is seeking a Sales Proposal Engineer to drive business growth for SCADA, DCS and ESD system projects across Bahrain and the wider Middle East & Africa region. The role blends technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver winning solutions for oil, gas and process industry customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand customer requirements and design techno‑commercial proposals for SCADA, DCS and ESD systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and technical discussions to capture project specifications.
  • Perform competitive analysis and position Yokogawa solutions as the preferred choice.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Identify and develop new sales leads within the assigned territory.
  • Travel 30‑40% across the Middle East and Africa to support projects and client meetings.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Communication or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum six years of experience in sales or proposal engineering for RTU, PLC, SCADA, DCS or ESD solutions in oil & gas or process industries.
  • Self‑motivated, sales‑oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical thinking, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
