Senior Family Office Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Family Office Accountant to lead the global financial affairs of a private family office. The role demands rigorous attention to detail, strong technical accounting expertise, and the ability to manage complex, multi‑entity structures with discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and consolidated reports across multiple entities, trusts and investments.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast liquidity and manage day‑to‑day banking relationships across jurisdictions.
• Handle treasury activities such as cash pooling, FX exposure monitoring and currency transactions.
• Track and report on a diversified investment portfolio, liaising with external managers and ensuring proper accounting treatment.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance in all relevant jurisdictions and prepare tax documentation.
• Maintain accounting for complex structures including trusts, partnerships and offshore entities, supporting structuring decisions with financial insight.

Required profile

• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a family office or private‑wealth environment.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven track record managing multi‑entity reporting and investment accounting.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with specialist accounting or portfolio‑management systems.
