Senior Java Engineer – Financial Services (Bahrain)

About the role

Array is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance enterprise applications for financial‑services clients. You will work on low‑latency, high‑throughput systems that support trading, risk management, and payment processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Architect solutions for large‑scale financial services platforms, ensuring compliance with regulations and data security.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps to deliver features in Agile sprints.
• Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions.
• Stay current with Java ecosystem trends and propose innovative tools or frameworks.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on Java development experience, preferably in enterprise or financial‑services environments.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience delivering complex, low‑latency systems such as trading or risk‑management platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global stakeholders.
