Servicing and Cash Services Officer – CIB

About the role

The Servicing and Cash Services Officer supports HSBC's operational objectives by delivering high‑quality branch cash counter and account servicing activities. The role ensures accurate transaction processing, strict adherence to internal controls and local regulations, and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash deposits, withdrawals and cheque transactions accurately, meeting cut‑off times and productivity standards.
• Make BHD cash payments against valid instruments, performing signature verification and customer identification checks.
• Scan and process over‑the‑counter cheque deposits in the BCTS system, validating technical details.
• Escalate cash surplus/shortage immediately and follow cash handling policies.
• Support account servicing tasks such as amendments, address changes, stop‑cheque requests and other maintenance activities.
• Process CBB letters, abusers list instructions and court orders, ensuring compliance with SLAs.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and service centres to resolve customer requests efficiently.
• Identify and report fraud patterns, errors or irregular activity.
• Provide personalized counter service, greet customers promptly and resolve queries or complaints.
• Maintain internal control standards and assist with audit actions and regulatory issues.

Required profile

• Bahraini national.
• Experience in cash handling and account servicing within a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet SLAs and maintain high accuracy.
• Effective communication and coordination with internal teams.
