F&B Service Expert (Lounge Attendant)

About the role

A full-time, non-management F&B Service Expert (Lounge Attendant) is needed at a Westin hotel in Manama, Bahrain. The role covers monitoring the club lounge, maintaining cleanliness, preparing and serving drinks, and supporting the bar and kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the club lounge for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being
• Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables and other tools
• Prepare and serve hot, cold and/or alcoholic beverages
• Stock ice, glassware and supplies, and communicate replenishment needs promptly
• Wash dishes and serving utensils as needed
• Complete opening and closing duties
• Requisition supplies and transport them from the storeroom to the bar set-up area
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas
• Document information in the department logbook
• Forecast meal requirements and communicate special requests to the kitchen

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
• Less than 1 year of related work experience preferred
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods and move over uneven or slippery surfaces
• Ability to read menus and handle objects up to 25 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds with assistance
